The COMUNIDAD project is pleased to introduce Karel Charvát, Jr., the COMUNIDAD project Coordinator, from our partner institution, Lesprojekt Sluzby Sro.

Karel Charvát, Jr., is the Coordinator of the COMUNIDAD Project, leading efforts to advance technological innovation, environmental resilience, and smart agriculture across Latin America. With a strong background in project management, geospatial data applications, and digital solutions for sustainable development, he oversees the coordination of activities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives within COMUNIDAD. Karel Charvát, Jr. is committed to fostering collaboration between research institutions, government agencies, and local communities to ensure the effective transfer of technology and knowledge that supports climate adaptation and sustainable land management.

On March 21–22, 2024, the COMUNIDAD consortium gathered in Madrid, Spain, for the project's official kick-off meeting. This milestone event brought together representatives from our eight project partners to set the course for the project's success, defining key action points and strategies for impactful collaboration. During the event, we captured valuable insights from each consortium member, offering their perspectives and roles in the COMUNIDAD project.
