The COMUNIDAD project is pleased to introduce Iván Rivero Sanz, an expert from our partner institution, SocialInnoLabs Foundation.

Iván Rivero Sanz has extensive experience in financial management, asset management, research and development consultancy, and new product development. He has developed financial and business plans for innovation-driven companies and has been actively involved in promoting and designing EU-financed research and development projects, with a focus on new product development for international markets. Over the past decade, he has collaborated with RTDI and RTDI Innovation School, creating tools and expertise for accurate financial projections and effective presentations.

Iván has worked with several innovative companies across the years in a wide range of industries, from ICT to biotechnology, precision agriculture, renewable energy and Fintech. He has founded three companies in Spain and the USA: Global Career Solutions S.L., Opportunity Revenue Consulting Services LLC, and IBAIA Consulting LLC. His broad knowledge encompasses financial management, new product development, marketing, and business strategy for startups. Iván holds a degree in Economics from the Autonoma University of Madrid and a degree in Philosophy from Valladolid University.

As part of the COMUNIDAD project, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the project's long-term impact and strategic direction. He leads engagement with the project's Advisory Board, a multidisciplinary group of experts providing high-level guidance to ensure that COMUNIDAD remains relevant, practical, and future-oriented. This includes organizing strategic meetings, facilitating dialogue across sectors, and capturing valuable insights that inform both the implementation and refinement of the project.

In parallel, he is actively involved in developing the project's exploitation plan and sustainability strategies, working closely with key stakeholders to identify viable pathways for scaling and replicating COMUNIDAD's outcomes. Through a series of interactive workshops, consultations, and feedback loops, he helps bridge the gap between innovation and real-world application, ensuring that the solutions developed respond directly to the needs and realities of public institutions, communities, and innovators in CELAC countries.

Additionally, he contributes to the promotion of the project across Latin America, building awareness and support among regional actors. His work also includes collecting and preparing foundational materials for the COMUNIDAD Platform and infrastructure, laying the groundwork for a robust and inclusive space where users can access services, tools, and data that strengthen resilience, sustainability, and community-driven innovation.

On March 21–22, 2024, the COMUNIDAD consortium gathered in Madrid, Spain, for the project's official kick-off meeting. This milestone event brought together representatives from our eight project partners to set the course for the project's success, defining key action points and strategies for impactful collaboration. During the event, we captured valuable insights from each consortium member, offering their perspectives and roles in the COMUNIDAD project.
