The COMUNIDAD project is pleased to introduce MSc. Álvaro Guerrero Aguirre, an expert from our partner institution in Colombia, CENICAFÉ.

Álvaro Guerrero is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer with an MSc, currently working at CENICAFÉ. He is also pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. His work focuses on integrating advanced electrical and electronic technologies into coffee processing and post-harvest systems, optimizing efficiency, functionality, and sustainability. Through his cutting-edge research and innovation, he plays a vital role in enhancing productivity and sustainability in Colombia’s coffee industry.

On March 21–22, 2024, the COMUNIDAD consortium gathered in Madrid, Spain, for the project's official kick-off meeting. This milestone event brought together representatives from our eight project partners to set the course for the project's success, defining key action points and strategies for impactful collaboration. During the event, we captured valuable insights from each consortium member, offering their perspectives and role in the COMUNIDAD project.
