SocialInnoLabs Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to:

  • Promoting research, innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, social and territorial cohesion through targeted actions and the development of an international network of Social Spaces for Research and Innovation (SSRI). These include Living Labs, Digital Innovation Hubs, Local Action Groups for Rural Development, Networks of Foundations for people with disabilities, Farmers Associations, Food Processors & Consumers.
  • Overcoming societal barriers to ensure people-centered innovation is effective, transparent, and participatory.
  • Supporting innovation policies, environmental and social cohesion, and inclusive rural-urban development in society and enterprises, promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions.
  • Enhancing transparency and citizen participation in associations and government agencies.
  • Promoting social and innovative actions to aid the integration of people and groups in disadvantaged conditions.
  • Supporting entrepreneurship in sustainable farm-to-fork projects under inclusive, sustainable, and environmental perspectives, addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Agenda 2030.

Their collective experience spans leadership roles in various industries, extensive participation in EU and national research projects, and support for start-ups and entrepreneurship. The team is proficient in advanced technologies, including web development, data analysis, IoT, open data, and secure data storage. They also excel in financial planning, business strategy, and marketing for innovative and sustainability-focused companies. This multidisciplinary approach enables SocialInnoLabs to address complex social, economic, and environmental challenges effectively.

Miguel Angel Navarro

Miguel Angel Navarro, a Naval Engineering graduate from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, is the Head of the ICT/EU Projects Unit at SocialInnoLabs Foundation. Previously, he served as CEO of Ariadna Servicios Informáticos for over ten years. His expertise includes business models for rural areas, open innovation, bio-statistics, rural development policies, social innovation, GDPR compliance, RFID, IoT, and open data. He has supported start-ups like CERVEZANAS and Blue-UP, showcasing his commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Miguel has participated in numerous EU and national research projects, including Samantha, People, Idontfall, AbletoInclude (coordinator), Storm Cloud, and Withme at the EU level, and Movilinspec, Tracecontrol, Cardea, Cardinea, Colabora, Mindkeepin, Eduwai, Simplext, Smarket, Procura, Participa, and Sedoc nationally. His diverse skills and extensive experience are key to advancing SocialInnoLabs Foundation’s mission of promoting research, innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development.

Alejo Martín Arias Filippo

Alejo Martín Arias Filippo is a seasoned professional with a broad range of expertise in ICT architecture, web development, and project management. He currently serves at SocialInnoLabs Foundation in multiple roles, including TIC Architect, Web Developer, Project Manager, and Programmer. Alejo's academic background includes a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Almería and ongoing postgraduate studies at the University Carlos III of Madrid. His technological proficiency encompasses advanced skills in Flutter, JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, and Docker, among others.

Alejo's professional journey includes a recent role as a Systems Architect at Indra ATM, where he contributed to air traffic management, leveraging technologies such as Red Hat Linux, virtualization, and Linux Virtual Server. Prior to this, he worked as a PHP Developer at Digital 55, developing e-commerce websites in collaboration with Scalefast using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, and CSS. At the University of Almería, he served as a Full Stack Developer, independently designing a web tool for inventory management using PHP, JavaScript, Angular, NodeJS, and Docker. His commitment to continuous improvement is evident from his recent completion of the Google Project Management Certificate. Alejo’s multifaceted expertise and experience make him an invaluable asset to SocialInnoLabs, driving innovation and efficiency in the foundation's projects.

Alberto Niironen

Alberto Niironen holds a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Technology from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Throughout his academic journey, he specialized in engineering research and software development, honing his skills in team organization and code analysis. His advanced studies included logging information flow through virtual assistants, secure data storage, and visualization for behavior analysis, utilizing technologies like Docker, REST API in Flask, and MongoDB. He also gained experience in passenger interface, data analysis, and fleet control using VanillaJS/React during his work on the CITIES Timanfaya Autonomous Microbus project.

Professionally, Alberto has a diverse background. He worked at Tragsatec, developing a web application for managing farmers' field notebooks with a full-stack approach using Angular and Spring Boot with Spring Security. As a freelancer from 2019 to 2022, he focused on web design and development using Webflow and WordPress, along with photography, video sessions, postproduction, and social media content creation. Currently, he is the main responsible for monitoring, development, and design of the Cervezanas project at Innolabs Social Foundation, using Nextjs and Supabase. His broad skill set in full-stack development, data analysis, and digital content creation makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Iván Rivero Sanz

Iván Rivero Sanz has extensive experience in financial management, asset management, research and development consultancy, and new product development. He has developed financial and business plans for innovation-driven companies and has been actively involved in promoting and designing EU-financed research and development projects, with a focus on new product development for international markets. Over the past decade, he has collaborated with RTDI and RTDI Innovation School, creating tools and expertise for accurate financial projections and effective presentations.

Iván has worked with several innovative companies across the years in a wide range of industries, from ICT to biotechnology, precision agriculture, renewable energy and Fintech. He has founded three companies in Spain and the USA: Global Career Solutions S.L., Opportunity Revenue Consulting Services LLC, and IBAIA Consulting LLC. His broad knowledge encompasses financial management, new product development, marketing, and business strategy for startups. Iván holds a degree in Economics from the Autonoma University of Madrid and a degree in Philosophy from Valladolid University.
